Centrifuges

Shaft & bearings :

The main shaft is made of suitable steel & is amply proportioned to withstand the loads imposed on it by the centrifugal force. Heavy – duty bearings supporting the main shaft are duly fitted in the bearing – housing. The bearings are grease lubricated to ensure long maintenance free life.

Basket :

The basket which is normally perforated is adequately thick to withstand the loads caused by the centrifugal force developed by the charge in the basket. Sufficient numbers of perforations are provided on the basket for efficient removal of the liquid. The dynamically balanced basket ensures vibration free & silent working.

Drive system :

The drive system consists of an electric motor mounted on the outer shell which drives the basket through V – belts. The system has a provision for tensioning of the belts.

Brake :

Centrifuge machines are fitted with ferodo – lined hand operated brakes. These brakes are heavy-duty type designed to bring the loaded basket, which has a heavy inertia to an effective stop.

Vibration suspension :

Centrifuge machine are fitted with heavy – duty three point pendulum suspension for vibration absorption.

Safety devices :

Limit switch can be provided for safe operation so that the machine automatically stops if the cover is opened during the operation.

Discharge arrangements :

Various types of discharge arrangements for the charge can be provided
